Below you can see some more images from Starbreeze’s Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena.

It seems Atari is going into overdrive as full single and mulitplayer details were released yesterday.

Game’s out in March for PS3, 360 and PC.

Update: We’ve added a couple of developer walkthrough videos below. Watch and listen as Ian Stevens, head of game production at Tigon Studios, talks you through the second level.

Spoilers, obviously.

There are two more of the first level too.

It looks very polished – the character animation and voice-over work are remarkable. That said, the environments seem quite sparse and dull – I hope the entire game’s not like that.

I’ve never played Escape from Butcher Bay either. Interest levels up slightly.

I’ve played the first few hours of this. It’s exceptional – really tense and wince-makingly brutal in places. Hand-to-hand combat is frantic and urgent, gunplay is satisfying…and like you say, Blerk, the voice acting is terrific.

It’s not as good-looking, but this is probably a better game than Killzone 2, y’know.
