EA: No concrete information on Mass Effect 2 at GDC09

EA has told videogaming247 that “there won’t be any concrete information provided on the Mass Effect franchise” at this year’s GDC09.

The company was referring to the CMPEvents listing that revealed two of BioWare’s developers are holding an hour-long seminar entitled, ‘The Iterative Level Design Process of Bioware’s Mass Effect 2′ at the conference this year.

“Bioware has always stated that Mass Effect would be a trilogy,” a senior company representative told us today. “This GDC event is an academic panel, but there won’t be any concrete information provided on the Mass Effect franchise other than what has been outlined on the GDC website.”

Last night, EA confirmed to VG247 that rumours pertaining to a PS3 port of the original game were “inaccurate.”

For fucks sake! Just announce it and give us some screen shots and we’ll stop hassling you about it!

They’re shutting down the Mass Effect teams. Moving them all onto casual games.

yes truk. that would be really smart. i mean, why would u keep teams that make aaa games, that sell really well, when they could make casual games that.. um, definetly don’t sell that well. who, how, r u ppl thinking before OR after u say things like that?

EA bought Bioware for a reason, and that is to make awesome games that make them money. Or maybe EA will get someone else to make mass effect 2? cause bioware dont like making sequels
