They gotta make back the losses somehow!

I really can't see it costing less than 800 points though, and honestly, if it was 1200 points I wouldn't be surprised. The annoying thing with DLC is that you can't wait a few weeks to pick it up at a lower price.

That would seem rather expensive, given that the full game has been retailing for less than £20 for most of its life so far.

Not yet. I reckon we'll be lucky if it's 800 points.

You are quite correct. They should've held TR:U back a few months, put the cut content back in, polished the whole thing to buggery and launched it at Easter.

Have they said how much this DLC is going to cost us, btw?

It's getting tough now. Previously you'd spend money during the Christmas period, and then have time to recuperate your losses over the dry months that followed. This is a good thing! Gives you time to play the games, etc.

But now, the games arrives at retail around Christmas, and they're releasing DLC a few months later. I've already bought the Fable II DLC, and following that I have Fallout 3 content this month, the next, and the one after that, I have Tomb Raider Underworld DLC next month and March, and GTAIV expansion in the middle of February. Total cost = 6,400 points, at the very least.

And Eidos are a bit mad, aren't they? First they push Tomb Raider Underworld back to the worst possible release date, and put it out in the same month as Gears 2, Mirrors Edge, Resistance 2, Call of Duty 5, EndWar, Sonic Unleashed, and on the same DAY as Left 4 Dead and The Last Remnant. Then they laid off half their staff when sales were below expectations. How the fuck did expect it to sell? After seeing the final product, I can see it needed a delay, so I'm sure they didn't want this, but I reckon it would have made a killing in September or October. It might even have done better in the second week of December.

And now, they're launching the first DLC in the busiest gaming day since Christmas, which is the same day as Fear 2 and HotD Overkill, and a week before Lost and the Damned. LUNACY.
