The combined console sales of Madden NFL were just 300k copies shy of the top spot with GTA IV in third place.
The top five are:
- Wii Play – 5.28m
- Madden NFL ‘09 – 5.25m
- Grand Theft Auto IV – 5.22m
- Mario Kart w/ Wheel – 5.00m
- Call of Duty: World at War – 4.63m

You’re right Blerk, it belongs in the hardware charts. Essentially, Wii Play is an extra controller that happens to be bundled with a game. I’m sure if GTAIV was bundled with an important piece of hardware, it would end up selling an extra million or two easy.
