madden09a2.jpg

Gamasutra's rumouring that EA Tiburon in the next EA studio to have suffered redundancies as part of the publisher's cost-cutting drive.

No details of the extent of any lay-offs are given in the report.

Tiburon, based in FLorida, is one of EA's main sports studios, developing both Madden and Tiger Woods.

The news is merely the latest in a stream of redundancy reports from EA outfits, those affected now including Mythic, Black Box, Blueprint, Pandemic and EALA.

EA plans to shed 1,000 jobs, 10 percent of its workforce, as part of an effort to shift losses from last year.
