For a one week exclusive demo deal, who cares….
It’s not like it’s no demo for the PS3.
If the opposite was true, I would not think it too big a deal.

Who cares who wins by numbers?
As long as you manage to stay halfway clean and avoid getting dirrrty you morally win, and this is all that counts in the end.

Regardless of whether the demo comes to the PS3 or not, this is just another prime example of how it seems that SCE is doing nothing to ensure that its customer base gets the best of the best when first available. It seems that Sony is pretty much refusing to go to bat for us. In my opinion, they’ve dug their own grave with this consumer.

In this business, the dirty player wins.

Okay:
The next installment of the landmark survival horror franchise from Capcom will take action to a new level with a two-level, playable demo available exclusively on Xbox 360 for one week beginning Monday, January 26.

Given that it’s not really very likely that the demo will be available for only one week, we can only presume that it’s the exclusivity which lasts a week and not the game itself. And given that the only other platform it’s announced for is the PS3, then…? Yes? Surely?

Incidentally, it’ll only be available to Gold subscribers for that first week too. Scabby Silver users won’t get it until the week after… the same day as the PS3 version (maybe) releases.

As I recall, those previous releases I mentioned may have been by S-E, too. But, we KNOW they weren’t/aren’t allowed to talk about PS3 TLR (the videogamer.com reporter said that all discussion of it was strictly taboo, when he visited the game’s creators premises – shortly after the time these releases were appearing.)
Anyway, I think it’s all entirely deceptive and dubious practice.

It’s not such a stretch from “can’t talk about a rival platform release” (as a contract clause) to the above – where, as you point out, there’s no mention of PS3 or PSN. It’s merely implied.

Oh dear.
I’d have thought, from those The Last Remnant press releases that you’d all be aware of Microsoft’s antics by now.
Whereby they send out deliberately worded releases (and ones about multiplatform games, exclusively focussed on their platform’s release of said title), to make it appear as though an anticipated game/download won’t be appearing on rival platforms.

To explain what you’ve missed in this case, the above text clearly states that the demo will be exclusively available on 360 for one week.
