Resident Evil 5 limited edition PS3 packaging for Europe revealed [Updated]

residentevil5.jpg

Capcom has revealed a Resident Evil 5 limited edition box set for PlayStation 3 in Italy, France and Spain.

The Steel Book box set contains two discs – one DVD, one Blu-Ray – and some exclusive art cards.

We want this, so we’re asking Capcom if the rest of Europe will be getting it.

Check it out below.

Update: Capcom has released a 360 packshot too (after the break) and has confirmed that all major European territories will get the limited edition.

Nice, now i know what version i’ll be getting.

So where abouts did they reveal this? Odd that they specify those 3 countries and not just ‘Europe’.

Of course it’s worth it to get the Limited Edition version because you get a TRAILER for the CG movie, packed in right there in the box!
Is that graffiti all over the front, signatures of all the staff that worked on it?

It says “Kijuju” the name of the town in which most of the game seems to be set. Theres a viral blog based around someone staying there :

Also, “They are in Kijuju” has been tagged on streets in various European cities.

The PS3 packaging’s nicer – the Xbox banner on the 360 cover is really jarring.

Sony might not have a clue when it comes to selling expensive hardware, but at least they’ve got taste. :-D

If other x360 limited edition steel books are anything to go by (and as the first screenshot also suggests), the banner that rightfully bothers you Blerk is not on the actual box but on a plastic slipcase, that you can choose to leave out.

The actual x360 box is word-less and that makes it prettier in my eyes :-D

EDIT: As for paying over the odds, Amazon seems to be offering the limited edition at £39.99 and the vanilla one at £33.99. Tempting…

Actually, you’re right – it is.

Not that I’m going to be paying over the odds for limited edition tat anyway, but there you go. :-D
