Capcom senior marketing manager Michael Pattison said of the company’s “stellar” Q1 09 line up that it could be the strongest ever.

“It’s definitely going to be a strong quarter for us, maybe our strongest ever,” he said.

“Our hopes for our Q1 line-up are very high indeed. Resident Evil is by all accounts going to be the biggest title in the series to date, reaching the widest user base in its history,” he concluded.

Thanks, MCV.

I am a BIG Resident Evil, ever since the first one came out in in the Psone, although I never followed the spin-offs. RE 4 was the only reason I bought the Gamecube, and the zero and REmake. I bought again for the PS2. But really, guys, although this game looks good, it’s just RE4 with better graphics and Chris Redfield with an amazingly stupid buffed body. Chris was never liked that! Remember the first one? The REmake? Code Veronica? C’mon capcom! Stop making games that appeal to dumbass-soldier-type gamers! Frankly, it’s an insult!

EDIT: And yes, I am kinda in a bad mood today. Sorry!

I’d much rather they resurrect Power Stone and Strider – even XBLA/PSN releases would go down a treat!
