New FFXIII footage appears in dev diary
After the break. The quality isn’t exactly the best, and it’s all in Japanese, but it’s Final Fantasy XIII and therefore it’s news.

Everything looks so over-designed. After the simple brilliance and massive charm of the recent Dragon Quest IV remake on the DS stuff like this looks so pompous.
Impressive, but still pompous.
…and filled with poo.

I think of FFXII as a sequel to FFXI. I’ve never played XI, or any MMO in fact, but it felt like what I imagine an offline MMO would be like.
