Surely as all the achievements in the game have “or watch another hero do so” attached to them at the end, I can do some co-op with a friend who has the quests and get any achievements they get whilst joining in the co-op?

And maybe do do the quests too without paying for them; much like I could do quests I hadn’t unlocked if I’d only just become an adult character and my friend had been to several locations I had yet to visit i.e. quests he’d unlocked but I hadn’t

Nope, it’s not free , just tried it now, the bloke on the submarine appears at the docks and he gives you a few gifts, but it’s 800pts to get to the island, the fuckers

There are two versions: the premium one (800MSP) with the new content & quests & stuff, and the free one that you have to have if you want to play coop with someone who has the premium content.
