Burnout Paradise Legendary Cars to include Ecto-1, General Lee and KITT

kitt1b.jpg

Criterion has revealed that cars resembling Ghostbusters’ Ecto-1, General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard and Knight Rider’s KITT will also feature in the Burnout Paradise DLC, the Legendary Cars Pack.

The vehicles join the Back to the Future DeLorean in what we reckon is some of the best after-care a console developer has delivered on a title to date.

More of this sort of thing please.

Pics and details through the Criterion link.

Hope you can activate the siren in the Ecto-1.

@Gekidami: I think it’s certain that you can do just that. :)

Looking at the pictures i see that their Ecto-1 dosnt quite look like the real one; no GhostBusters insignias, has blue on the sides, the grill at the front is different, less stuff on top, and i dont recall the the Ecto-1 having blue and red siren lights. I doubt it has the same siren sound either, very disapointing indeed, not that i have the game mind…
Then again they dont claim that the cars are actually based off the movies/series, just look-alikes, pretty lame really.

Well as they don’t have the rights to anything Ghostbusters or any of the other things they’ve been inspired by for the Legends pack, it’s not too surprising it’s not that accurate.

I hope the Ecto-1 pastiche handles better than the default Manhattan though, that car is so boat like I’m surprised it doesn’t have an anchor.
