It’s strange how just adding dust / smoke / particles does so much to increase the film like quality of it all. Reminds me of the “Imperfect World” extra on the Wall-E disc.

That building going down in the 4th one still makes me wet myself a little.

Agreed Psychotext, more than anythign it’s the superb motion blur that gives this game the edge if you ask me.

Or if not then the flawless mixture of the motion blur and particle effects.

The Ballet trailer is the only one I watched, and Isbtarted to watch the other one… and then spoilers, when I saw it was a mech.

Just realised this was the music in the British Airways ads.

I knew i recognised it for reasons other than general erudite intellect.

It gets used to death.

And with it comes the kind of connotations that are perfectly juxtaposed by the violence and questionable motives depicted in the trailer.

It’s interesting that most of the sites that had done
comparisons between the GPU’s in PS3 and 360 said that
the 360 had the GPU advantage.
I really haven’t seen any title that the PS3 couldn’t do thats on the 360, except for maybe some texture issues due to the halving of memory.
I haven’t seen Killzone 2 in person yet, and I can’t
really watch the movies right now, but if its as spectacular
as its been touted to be, why havent we seen something on the 360 that supposedly shows its GPU superority?

It’s complicated.

PS3 is a better machine IMO (i own both BTW).

360 is easier to get results. Development costs generally lean in favour of the 360 model.

However after 2008 (MGS4, LBP, Wipeout HD, Motorstorm 2, GT4 and all the quality 3rd party stuff) I’d say the PS3 is pulling ahead in graphics etc. but still lacks a lot of the nice online features of the 360.
