SOCOM Confrontation to be available to download from Euro PSN on Feb 5

socom1b.jpg

According to a Sony Europe PSN release schedule obtained by videogaming247.com, SOCOM Confrontation will be available to download from PlayStation Network on the 5th of February.

The much sort after shooter slipped to “early 2009” back in November.

No price is forthcoming at this time.

We can only assume that a boxed version of the game will be released within the same time period.

Is that going to be a fixed version or is it still going to have the cripplingly long load-times that apparently the US version still has? I really like the game once you get in but 10 minute ( and more ) load times are crazy… I couldn’t believe it when I heard that it actually launched in that condition.

I bet my hat that they will release the 1.30 version before it gets released here then. After that patch, I think the game will be alright.

I think you may be receiving several hats back on that bet given the latest SOCOM news then ;)
