It was revealed yesterday that potential Japanese Xbox 360 owners were to be treated to a Resident Evil 5 bundle. Now a similar PlayStation 3 pack will hit the shops too.

“The ‘Premium Limited’ pack comes with a Resident Evil 5 logo 80GB PS3, two DualShock 2 controllers and a copy of the game. Priced at ¥48.980 [(approx €387)],” writes Kotaku that also has a picture of the console.

The bundle will be released on March 5.

So the PS3 bundle’s £100 more and doesn’t have the ‘limited edition’ game bundle, but does have an extra controller.

Hang on, surely it’s not Capcom who’s ‘treating’ Japanese gamers here – the bundles will be organised by Microsoft and Sony, surely? Unless Capcom suddenly started flogging consoles? :-D

Welcome to VG247, where the “writers” are commentators and vice versa.

It’s just a turn of phrase. If it’s offensive I’ll edit.

It’s not really ‘offensive’. Just…. wrong. :-D

How come you didn’t cover Microsoft’s “we sold 8 million in Europe, we’re a million ahead of Sony” story from yesterday, Mike? I’d brewed tea and everything.
