Yeah this is really great to be honest.

But it’s a great price point, and a great (360) advertising campaign, the PC one, not so hot.

Certainly Sony need to bring back some last generation marketing and product support magic to catch up.

Meh, I hardly even consider the Wii a console any more…

If it wasn’t for the first party titles, I’d probably class it in the same category as those ‘plug direct into your TV’ jobs that you can find in most markets.

And I was probably one of the biggest Nintendo fans ever!

The wii is the New PS2.
The PS2 didn’t really have much competition for the casual
gamer, the xbox was looked at as the hardcore shooter system, and the gamecube looked like it was designed by fisher price.

This generation is very different.
PS3 is the expensive high end system, the 360 the all around system, and the Wii is the inheritor of the casual base, and even expanded it.

Everyone I talked to about this around the launch of the 360 expected it to be a “good, but secondary” HD platform behind the behemoth which would be the PS3.

Being dirt cheap never hurt anything.

I’m still really surprised at how things have turned out this generation. If you’d told me this was how things would look a few years back I’d have laughed you off the face of the planet.
