Tabula Rasa now free to play

tabularasaa.jpg

Shacknews is reporting that soon-to-shut NCSoft MMO, Tabula Rasa, will now be free to play until it’s demise in February.

Former players can reactivate their accounts over at PlayNC.

Newbies would have to first create an account at PlayNC and then get a serial from the support page.

Interested? Download it here.

I downloaded and got a key, looking forward to trying it out. IF they get enough of a response, maybe they would make it a free to play?

I have a PlayNC account, for my beloved City of Heroes. I can’t leave that game for more than a few bloody months without having to go back to it for a month again. After all, the character customisation is so insane that I tend to play a biker werewolf, how could I argue with that?

Still, Tabula Rasa … I’ll give it a shot, but I’m not really expecting big things from it. It always struck me as a bit unimaginative. Oh well, we’ll see.

I was on the beta – it was really good as a beta but imo was never really ready when it launched which is why I didn’t stay with it. That plus ( iirc ) shockingly misjudged marketing did for it in the end I think. Definitely worth a go to see what could have been though.
