Sega’s announced OutRun Online Arcade for PSN and XBLA.
Developed by Sumo, the game will include ten Ferraris and 15 courses.
Multiplayer for six will be features, as will OutRun, Heart Attack and Time Attack modes.

SEGA’s classic arcade racer returns, but this time it’s in stunning HiDef and available via PlayStation® Network and Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®. For the first time on PlayStation® Network and Xbox LIVE®, OutRun Online Arcade delivers online multiplayer racing for up to 6 players, with fast paced OutRun, Heart Attack and Time Attack modes, the draw to the open road has never been so appealing. OutRun Online Arcade on Xbox LIVE® will feature achievements and voice; and on PlayStation® Network will include trophies, voice over IP and leaderboards.

Ah, Outrun … one of the few games that revolves around Cars that I ever actually liked, along with Carmageddon and Vigilante 8.
I’ve pretty much played every Outrun that ever was, from the Sega Master System and the arcades up to Coast 2 Coast, it’s the only street-racing (and I use the term racing loosely) game I’ve ever had that kind of interest in. So I’m looking forward to this, too.
