World at War unshakable at top of UK chart

Call of Duty: World at War is looking almost certain to take the Christmas number one slot in the UK, racking up a fifth week at the top in Britain today.

LBP rather impressively climbing back again – now back into the top 20 – presumably on the back of (finally…) some TV advertising. I wonder what might have happened if Sony had started that ad campaign a couple of weeks earlier?

I can’t quite believe the popularity of Call of Duty. CoD4 was very good, but still not sure why the public is picking Call of Duty over any other series.

Being £20 is part of it, but it’s still selling – you still need to want the title at £20. Besides there isn’t a big title this Christmas which hasn’t been available for £30 or less at some point.
