Uncharted 2 shots are 100% knockout

Jesus wept. Someone on NeoGAF’s posted up a ton of hi-res screens and art from the newly-revealed Uncharted 2, and some of them are just sensational.

After the break. The game’s second trailer was released at the VGAs last night.

knockouts are some drawings? even in some of the image that look more in-game, they are sooo reworked. im sure this game will look good though, since the guys making this game are pretty good.

they’ve been seriously touched up if you ask me, but it gives a good indication of the style they’re aiming for.

Looking forward to it but I hope they have some tombs ‘n stuff in it still.

Again, refreshing use of vibrant colour and quite a lot of brightly lit scenes. +1

Nearly all the screens suggest gunplay or combat of some sort though. -1

Those images have absolutely been touched up. This one, when you look at those signs with the white borders – you’d either be seeing contrast against the backdrop with jaggies or they’d employ some lightbloom to soften it. Instead it’s been aliased a bit too uniformally for my tastes.

Anyway, based on Naughty Dog’s pedigree and the visual splendour of the first game, I’d expect the final game to look much like those images.

The second reason to own a PS3. The first one was definitely under appreciated, and was sadly not hyped enough by Sony. Naughty Dog rocks… and yes, this is much better looking that God of War 3 that’s fer sure.

Well, the reasons are coming thick and fast if Sony don’t delay a thing. But the reasons will defintely come slow and sticky, cus Sony delay everything.

Anyway, loooooks fun. Love the feeling of running around as Drake, he’s so nimble. It really is the anti-Gears.

In the same way though, it has many of the same faults. It WAS nimble but then sometimes suffered from feeling floaty and overreactive. In the same way, gears feels heavy, but it can feel cumbersome and clunky.

So yeah, being the complete opposite is good and bad. And they are two totally different games that should both be experienced.

You must be confused, my hair isn’t red, for a start. Amongst other, more obvious things. The only way I’d consider you a stepbrother if we were both black, you were lying on the floor after being inconspiciously murdered by someone and me having to step on you to get past.

I honestly have no idea what the hell I’m talking about.

Anyway; I did play the original Uncharted a bit, but I never finished it (I borrowed it from somebody and didn’t get chance to complete it). I may rent it at some point before the second so I can.
