Big TF2 patch imminent, Valve “actively working” on 360 update

Valve’s detailed a large patch for Team Fortress 2, with the changes apparently going live “in the next few days”.

And 360 players should be pleased: the company said it’s been “actively working” on an update for the console version, to include “pretty much everything we’ve shipped on the PC in the last year.”

The PC patch will make the following changes:

  • Teleporters will be upgradeable to level 3. As the teleporter is upgraded, the cooldown will decrease.
  • Dispensers will be upgradeable to level 3. They will heal faster and generate metal faster as they are upgraded.
  • Spies will be able to recharge their cloaking ability by picking up ammo off of the ground.
  • We’ve made a bunch of minor changes by adding particle systems and upgrading the HUD to show things like deaths by critical hits, players that are overhealed, and giving more information to medics when people are calling for them.

This sounds awesome and it’s about time too since the PC version has been getting all the updates.

I think I’m going to cry I got the orange box right on release day for the 360 and haven’t stopped playing it. I knew Valve :) wouldn’t let me down I can’t wait to see all the new content the PC versions been enjoying for so many months.

‘Actively working’? As opposed to ‘inactively working’?

Surely if they’re not ACTIVELY working on something they’re not actually working on it anyway?
