Heh, Gears and CoD outsell every Wii title combined. What are the 15 million Wii owners buying. Who, apart from Nintendo, is benefiting from its success.

That’s a hell of a difference in units sold between the two versions of CoD. I thought the games were just as popular on PS3? They certainly seem to play a lot of CoD4.
And look – there’s Resistance 2! After everyone thought it wouldn’t make it. Where did Mirror’s Edge come, though?

I think the launch of LBP in the US was more in October.

Yeah, but that doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t sell any copies in November, does it?
Just look at Mario Kart Wii…

It was. But I think what G1GA is probably getting at is that it didn’t do that well in last month’s NPDs but the fans said it got released too late in the month and would ‘have legs’.

Ah it must have been pushed out the top ten by Banjo then … oh hold on …

I don’t think anyone is surprised that Banjo “didn’t do so well” – it’s hitting the bargain bins on both sides of the pond already. Although the people who did actually buy it seem pretty happy with it.

It was released at a budget price in the US in the first place. One of the reasons I didn’t buy it myself was because of the inconsistent pricing strategy.

Fuck me. The Americans luuurve that XBox. Resistance did poorly. How late on did it get released?

Start of November, wasn’t it? The 11th, or something.

So no excuses then. “Killzone 2, you’re our only hope!” Poor Guerilla.

PS3 titles in general did poorly – but for Resistance 2 to do about 2/3 of CoD5 is not so bad.

I’m still fairly surprised that CoD5 didn’t do better on PS3. I’m sure I read that over here there wasn’t much in it between PS3 and 360 versions.

Wouldn’t that be purely related to installed base though? About 14m 360′s = 1.4m sales. About 7m PS3′s 0.6m sales. Anyone with both machines is likely to buy on 360 – I know I do.

Probably. I might be comparing apples with oranges. Or Brits with Yanks, in this case.

In fact taking installed base into account the Resistance 2 sales compared to Gears 2 is not all that bad is it?
