Peter Molyneux hints at new projects, uses words like “familiar” and “different”

petermolyneux.jpg

Yes, “projects.” Peter Molyneux’s rock-hard development muscle is way too much for only one game at a time. What’s more, Molyneux , speaking with G4, said that one of his upcoming labors of love will tread on “familiar” ground, while its edge-living maverick of a counterpart will be “completely different.”

Speculation says that the “familiar” title could be a sequel to a pre-existing Molyneux franchise. Or maybe even BC, perhaps?

His other project, however, has already peeked an eye out from under the veil. According to an earlier report, it will be ”politically contentious”, and is slotted for a GDC ’09 demystifying.

Apparently, both games will appear in some form at GDC 2009. We’ll just continue waiting all our lives for that moment, then.

Nope, Starbreeze and EA are doing that one. All the Bullfrog IP is owned by EA.

We’ve already seen what EA are planning on doing with the Dungeon Keeper IP. :(

Gotta say, after playing Fable2, Molyneux is a hack.

I don’t like Sims with swords…

Uninspired, regurgitation of older titles that had much more depth and character.

As a couple of others here said, give us an updated Populous. Something fun and not easily broken and buggy…

Populous didn’t really have massive amount of depth though did it? It was great fun but you have your rose tinted time goggles on there I’d say.

I liked Fable 2. I thought it was a lot of fun with a great atmosphere. Yeah, it’s buggy and stuff, but it was still fun. However, it wasn’t the best game I’ve played this year. That would be Fallout 3.
