Gears 2 passes 3 million units

Following a comment from MGS boss Phil Spencer yesterday that said Gears of War 2 was approaching 3 million sales, Epic boss Mark Rein’s confirmed that milestone’s been reached.

“Microsoft confirmed to me this afternoon that Gears of War 2 sell-through surpassed 3 million units as of last week,” the exec told Edge in an email.

The Epic shooter sold more than 2 million units in its opening weekend at the beginning of November.
