Microsoft announces “Xbox LIVE Marketplace Holiday Deal of the Week”
Nelson’s announced the “Xbox LIVE Marketplace Holiday Deal of the Week,” probably the greatest trip-off-the-tongue promotion of all time.
Blurb:
The program kicks off tomorrow with a deal on the Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack. Originally priced at 600 points, it will go on sale tomorrow for 400 points for Gold Members in ALL Xbox LIVE regions. That is a savings of 33% (200 points.) The special pricing will be available after 0900 PT for one week.
There’ll be cuts every week in December. More through there.

Yeah, it seems pretty pointless to get these if you are a silver member, unless you play split-screen or LAN with people all the time opposed to on Xbox Live. So pretty much no-one’s gonna miss out

I want to see lots more value for my Gold sub personally – just being able to play online doesn’t cut it anymore. They should keep going until the silver subs whining reaches illegal to work in noise levels!

Maybe they have to do a deal with the people who actually make these games to put a discount on it?

I think Microsoft could probably have had a word with themselves to reduce the pricing of such things as the Crackdown DLC last week.
