Resi 5 CEs to get console-specific extras
According to this CVG report, the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the Resident Evil 5 Collectors Editions will contain different extras.
The PS3 SKU contains a making-of documentary, the the 360 version will come with a metal case and a soundtrack CD.
Decisions. Game’s out in March. More through there.

Am I right in thinking there’s NO reason for them to do this apart from trying to get collectors to buy both copies?

That’s a really cheap tactic on Capcom’s behalf.

I’d say so, and I feel it’s a pretty cheap tactic too. I don’t think it was wise for them to do this though because it makes them look a little bit desperate for sales, almost as if they were hinting in advance that RE5 is a bit shit without Mikami.

True, but collectors don’t really buy collector’s editions to actually listen to the CD, it’s just for the sake of having a somewhat rare object sitting around.

Just buy the regular edition. That’ll teach ‘em.

oh then it’s fine. don’t quite see how it makes a difference with soundtrack though. it’s not like it’s signed by some cool guy =).
