Far Cry 2 DLC trailer is shooty, drivey

still haven’t tried far cry 2 yet. the graphics look awefully nice, but gameplay wise, how does this game do?

It’s a good game. It’s 8/9 depending on how you’re feeling, I reckon. The gameplay’s very cool. It’s a real open-world shooter, where you can use the environment properly in firefights. There are things wrong with it, but it’s well worth a punt. I’ll go back to it soon.

Yeah, that’s about spot on. The enemy AI is worth a mention too, I reckon. Oh, and the map editor, which is brilliant.

Also: fire.

Random firefights in the bush are awesome. Being chased through the grass, setting everything on fire, sniping people through trees, etc, is all good.

This is still lying in it’s foil in my games box. Must open it, only got Fallout to do, then Prince of Persia, then Mirror’s Edge and Dead Space.

Respawning enemies at every roadblock become a pain though. DLC is way overpriced too.

Yeah, that respawning enemies thing was damn annoying, and so was having to drive so damn much. I know it was ‘realistic’, but there’s a point where driving and driving and driving like that gets damn tedious.
