Ubisoft: ‘working hard’ on Assassin’s Creed 2, no release date
Ubisoft’s just confirmed it’s working on Assassin’s Creed 2. If you hadn’t already worked that out for yourself, you may as well give up.
The news came from an earnings call today, in which an exec said that “we are working hard on the product,” but refused to date the game for fiscal 2010.

The engine is already there, so now they should be able to devote more time to the gameplay. I have high expectations of this one, even if the first AC was disappointing.

I never got bored in the first, though. I enjoyed doing it all, it was fun, especially since I could break them up by randomly jumping on a guard with my wrist knife and starting a sword fight in the middle of a plaza, and then take it up onto a church.

I loved the first one but had two problems with it:
1. They need more variety in the missions.
2. They need to make the ending more clear. I was totally confused by the AC ending. My wife and I had to look on the internet to find out what the hell it all meant. They should make it clearer what it going on.
That being said, I’m pretty excited about it.
BTW, what does \o/ mean?
