I’m glad of the high scores, really.

A while back, we had angry internet men with nostalgia-blinders on whining about how it wasn’t Sands of Time just because it carried the Prince of Persia IP. That was amazingly irritating to read, considering that they were actively complaining about a company actually trying something new instead of cranking out the same old rot. On and on these mendicants went about how it’ll be a shit game, and how it looks terrible, just because it isn’t Sands of Time.

Well, these scores should shut them up. Rightly so.

And… I told them so, I knew this game would be alright. I hope they’re all embarrassed now about such public acts of spite regarding games that don’t do exactly what their sense of nostalgia demands. It’s that kind of thing that’s stifling the games industry, it’s this kind of reinvention that actually breathes some life back into it.

High 8s from me. Great game, lots to love, but has its flaws.

Interested to see who the 10 is from. It’s not going to be Edge or GamesTM, that’s for sure.
