Update: It’s true. See here.

Gamasutra’s reporting that F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin’s been refused classification in Australia.

The ruling effectively means the game has been banned from sale.

The OFLC’s website doesn’t show that the game’s been rated as yet: do a search and see for yourself.

The shooter sequel’s scheduled for European launch next February for PC, PS3 and 360.

Games don’t get certified AFTER they’ve been released. The game has to be submitted prior to it’s release.

    Playing Devil’s Advocate for a moment…

How are test scores in Australia? From what I could tell with a moment’s research, they’re actually some of the highest at the moment. I haven’t seen a comparison with the UK yet, so I can’t say for sure there. But Australia can point and laugh at most countries when it comes to how educated the average person is.

I wonder if there’s any correlation?
