GTA IV DLC confirmed for February 17, titled “The Lost and Damned”
USA Today has confirmed that the first part of the 360 GTA IV DLC will be available on February 17.
It’s titled “The Lost and the Damned” and stars Johnny Klebitz, a member of Liberty City biker gang The Lost.
“Johnny is a very different character than Niko, with a very different background,” said Rockstar boss Dan Houser.
“I can’t go into too much detail on the story, because we try not to give away too much plot before the game is released. But I can say that the story will show you a different side of Liberty City.”
The content will be M-rated, obviously, and will require the full retail game to run it.

Well, well – didn’t expect that today. Sounds like it’ll be a bit more than just a few new missions, then. More like an add-on disc, GTA London style.

Yeah. I really must go back and actually play GTA IV properly. No idea when I’m ever going to find time, however.

Same day as Killzone 2. What a coincidence.

Have they confirmed the Killzone date? I thought it was just “February”?

As far as I know it’s still just ‘February’.

So no new city? Or new parts of the City? Just the GTA world with new quests? Is that right?

Doesn’t say in that piece. Do they even need to add new parts of the city? It’s huge, innit.

Add-on disc like GTA London? Still says its based in Liberty City, sounds more like a new story based off whats already there, it wouldnt surprise me if alot of the same characters (read: reuse of character models) from Nikko’s story made an appearence.
And LC wasnt huge Pat, it was a terrible downgrade compaired to SA.

Well, it’s not a new city but it’s a new story based off the same engine so it’s a bit like GTA London. It would’ve been nice for them to do something like set it in a different time period, but I’m guessing it’s too much for DLC.
I found SA too big. Reigning it in a bit is pretty much exactly what I wanted them to do, tbh.

It’s more like Liberty City Stories / Vice City Stories. It’s only a new story, not new places/cars etc.

Well, if we’re lucky we might get some new weapons and vehicles, or atleast reskinned ones.

Ah yes, that’s a better analogy, XDamage.

imho they should focus less on making an epic story, and more on making it fun again like the previous GTAs. IMO.

@ XDamage:
It’s funny how another article on here says it will feature new vehicles (and weapons and multiplayer modes).
Sure it was written after you wrote your comment, but I still find it funny nonetheless.

@ ashers2ashers:
I feel sorry for your sense of humour. Anyways, the “new places” is still correct. And after a quick google, the “stories” games actually did have new weapons and vehicles. Been a couple of years since I last played them so.
It will be interesting to see what differences there are between the “episodes” and the “stories”.
Can’t see any yet, but there must be something ofcourse.
