CoD: World at War goes top in the UK, LBP vanishes, Banjo fails to reach top 40
Call of Duty: World at War has debuted at the top of the UK all-formats, beating off a late showing from Wrath of the Lich King. Nice showing there from FM09 as well.
As you can see, LittleBigPlanet’s… gorn. Also noteworthy is that Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts failed to chart in the entire top 40: it came out last Friday.
Last week’s charts here. Data for the week ending November 15.

With ASDA selling CoD:WaW for £27 on both console formats, I’m not surprised that sold like crazy.

It’s a shame that crap like CoD5 sells so well and something innovative like LBP, a game that genuinely tries something different, sells so little in comparison.
Still, at least we can say ‘SonyLOL” again: SonyLOL!

Just checked Chart Track – it went from 4 to 19 this week. Ye gods! Double LittleBigPlummet!
Mirror’s Edge also debuting at 20, which has got to hurt and disappoint somebody.

Fuck yeah Spreadsheets and over wrought-patriotism. Us Brits fucking know how to buy them right enough.
Oh wait theres shit in every single chart the world over. Seems that everyone loves to sup up shite.
Also Sony are doomed etc. Advertising, mis-judging the user base etc etc Gears 2 etc

COD: WAW is far from a bad game. I’ve seen much worse stinking out the top three positions in the past.
Not the most auspicious of starts for Wii Music, but it could be a grower. Time will tell with that one. And it outsold LBP this week…

That’s what happens when you release too many games in a week. Big titles suffer.
No Banjo, No SingStar Abba, No Rayman, No Shaun White Snowboarding, No Alone in the Dark Inferno, No Star Wars Clone Wars…

Shaun White is supposed to be a bit poo, though. (The game)

The Wii version of Shaun White is pretty good.

It’s a bit expensive though if you don’t have the balance board and want to play it in that way.

I’ve just finished Cod5, it was an absolute shitbag of a game. Terrible, rubbish, dull and inappropriate.

I’d say the bigger story is that Banjo missed the top 40 altogether in it’s first week. Good ol’ gravy eh?

Yep, added that. Must have missed it as I was too busy choking on corporate cock.

Not quite vanished without trace for LBP, just dropped to 12.
Bit surprised at Mirror’s Edge though. LBP I expected to drop out of the charts but Mirror’s Edge failing to crack the top ten is a bit of a shame. Guess more people couldn’t juggle a joypad and an airline sick bag at the same time than I’d thought

@ pj
Mirror’s Edge hasn’t so much ‘failed to crack the top 10′, as miss it by the same general margin of error that I was missing those jump’n'grabs in that bloody demo of it…
