They are effortlessly outselling any other home console. The Wii isn't even the cheapest one anymore. Maybe the Wii Music sales will shake them up a little wrt software. I think they have seen what else is out on the market and realized that their more traditional titles wouldn't stand a chance against them. So this Christmas will se another push for Wii Fit/Sports with Animal Crossing as frosting. Why would they release a new console? They are effortlessly outselling any other home console. The Wii isn’t even the cheapest one anymore.

All they need to do now is put a stop to all these shitty multiplatform efforts (The Force Unleashed, I'm looking at you) that have horrid Wii versions. They need developers to concentrate on games for the Wii, and targeted at the casual market. Having Telltale's games on there is a great start, but they should try and strike up a deal with PopCap to get the likes of Peggle and Bookworm Adventures on it too. Even World of Goo is coming to Wiiware. I can see a bright future for the Wii, they just have to manage its games library very carefully, so that everyone who owns a Wii knows where they stand.
