Halo 3: Recon is 5-6 hours long, “Not a $60 title”
Apparently the Game Informer issue currently hitting subs carries a quote from Bungie’s Joe Staten saying “we do not view this as a $60 title” in relation to Halo 3: Recon.
The game’s the magazine’s cover star.
That’s it. Someone scan the article, please.

I confidently predict this will be the best add-on ever made by man.

I confidently agree.
I love the concept art, wish I could use Photoshop that well (or paintshop or a hybrid).
Anyway, I am excited to see how they utilise the halo 3 engine. Should be exciting.

I’d kill for the game to have the same art style as the trailer. I really liked how they made the world look.

It may be good but £40 for a 6 hour game? Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty was longer than that, and that’s considered to be episodic, and I bought the first episode of that for a tenner (on the US store) when it came out.
If six hours is a good amount of content for £40, then I can honestly say that fiscally, the average XBox owner has no sense whatsoever. I wonder if I could sell them “entertaining” blank sheets of paper at £300 a pop? :p
And look at the comments above mine, too. I don’t care about the quality… six hours and it’ll be the best expansion ever? Even considering that this’ll cost a good two or so times what the average expansion costs? I mean… good lord.
So this is how you plan on dealing with the economic crisis, eh MS? Well, more power to you if your advertising has this kind of sway over the average sixpack.

I just bought gears 2 for 45 Euro new so it does sound a bit expensive.
