Battlefield Heroes delayed into 2009

Jeepers. EA's delayed free-to-play shooter Battlefield Heroes into 2009, a second slip from the Holiday season after the game was originally planned for a summer release.

The game, currently in closed beta, will see the current testing period end this Friday.

"We expect to re-open the beta early next year," senior producer James Salt wrote on the game's official page.

Back-end work will take up the bulk of the extra time afforded by the delay, from the sound of it.
