Ubi Montreal shooter Far Cry 2 has cleared more than 1 million units since it released at the end of October.

“[The game] is well on track to achieve our expectations for the year,” said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.

“The holiday quarter is off to a solid start with the successful launch.”

The game topped the US PC charts in its launch week and was only beaten off the UK all-formats by Fable II.

Excellent news. Can we have the finished version now please? The one where the multiplayer works?

What scratch69 said. Multiplayer is quite good but…
1. I don’t need to know that you trying to connect to host 74
2. After a ranked game don’t make the parties disband
3. After a game don’t drop the connection forcing us to reload from the first menu
4. If we vote to keep a map don’t let some clown ask for a vote again 2 seconds later
5. If everybody but the host is ready then override the bloody host.
6. Make the rules to uprising appear before that game in huge letters. It’s actually very good but last night our team had to vote to change the leader 3 times before finally the leader was somebody who understood what they had to do. We managed to win despite this as the opposition had actually worked out how to capture a point either. They still hadn’t worked it out by the end of the match.
