EEDAR's put out its US sales estimates for October, predicting a Wii rise of nearly 45 percent to 750,000 units compared to the 519,000 sold in October 2007.

Xbox 360 will take a year-on-year tumble, said the firm, down from 366,000 to 270,000.

PS3, however, should have enjoyed a surge compared to the corresponding previous period, up from 121,000 to 220,000.

Fable II is expected to lead software sales for the month, with 750,000 units estimated.
