That would seem about right, the last I recall was about 1.2 million to 2 million. Where’d you get the figures from, MesserWolf?

I wish that site would collapse under the weight of its own bullshit sometimes.

What about that Motorstorm 2, though? Number 29 on the chart, so I hear. That’s not much of a first week.

@Blerk
well, I know it’s not that reliable usually, but I doubt they are wrong of a whole million on consoles

I’m sure Psycho will sort us out with some official or stat-based figures when he finally gets his lazy fat arse out of bed.

They’ll probably be his own estimates though.

Psycho estimates are better than VGChartz estimates.

Yeah, at least there’s some rhyme and reason to his figures.

To be fair vgchartz correct their figures when official data are released … so it’s the weekly sold chart that is really inaccurate rather then the global sold chart .

What time do you call this, Psycho?
That’s… surprising. I expected the PS3 to make up much more ground than that this year.

Hey, I have to at least pretend to do some work for the first hour of the day. Check my emails, make sure nothing has exploded and then I can venture onto the interwebs.

@Messer: Do GfK do hardware numbers for free? I haven’t seen any. I don’t think vgchartz pay for their stuff.

morriss: If you can get COD4 cheap, you really should get it for the single player. It’s awesome. Rental, perhaps.

Chart Track and GfK don’t release their numbers for free as a matter of course. Occasionally they’ll throw us a bone, or somebody else who has paid for the figures lets them slip.

Truk: Yeah, I must play it one day. I just wasn’t prepared to play full-price for a game I’d play for six hours and never again.

COD4 for single player ? O.o It’s nice yeah , but It’s really short .
@Blerk
Uk is aligned with its ex-colony about gaming preferences

Sure, why not. I don’t play online games (LAN games, yes, online, ugh). I didn’t pay a lot for it and I think it was worth every penny.

I’ve heard the campaign is excellent, yeah. I really should play it, tbh.

I’ll post here what I posted on TSA:
Yeah, this isn’t surprising. A 360 shooter-sequel, a multiplatform shooter/RPG sequel in a massively successful franchise and a multiplatform football game. That is pretty much expected.
Oh, and the higher install base of the 360, which is full of the people that just eat up Gears-type games.
