It’s true. And it hovers. Criterion announced last night that four “Legendary” cars are to be released into the game as DLC, the first being the the “Jansen 88 Special”.
It’s the Back to the Future car in all but name.
Follow the link for more detail. No confirmation on when it’s going to be released unfortunately, aside from “2009″.

I don’t mean to be a fuddy-duddy, but I’m a huge BTTF fan, and it only seems to have a very rough resemblance to the flying DeLorean from Back to the Future.
Just to make the comparison fair, here’s a shot of the back of the Criterion auto, which looks a little more like the DeLorean, but not much.
And here’s how the flying DeLorean should look.
I’m not sure where retracting wheels began in fiction, as the origins thereof seem to be shrouded. But I do recall that the Esprit in one of the Bond movies also had retracting wheels, and I remember that early Marvel comics featured SHIELD cars which had retracting wheels.
So it’s more fair to say that Criterion’s including a car that has some resemblance to the DeLorean, and also has retracting wheels. But it’s definitely not a clone of the DeLorean. If only, tbh.

maybe the development team for burnout should concentrate on making crash mode available. thats the only thing i wanted for it, showtime sucked. and it shouldn’t be open world like every other racing game, motorstorm manages without it

Ah yes, Motorstorm and Burnout, two clones of eachother for sure!
“Every other racing game”?
Surely there’s only a handful? Besides, Burnout Paradise is still the best of them all.
Or are you sour becauase of a lack of retry race option?

chill, i wasn’t comparing motorstorm and burnout, i just feel if paradise was set out like burnout 3, it would be a better game. midnight club and need for speed are the games burnout is similar to, all burnout had that was different was crash mode. its not a bad game, it just doesn’t feel like burnout to me .

You’re right… it really isn’t another burnout. But that’s great for me because I was never a fan of them, but I am of Paradise. Especially online.
