360 is console with highest attach rate, says Gamasutra
Gamasutra’s posted a piece claiming 360 has the highest attach rate of the current gen machines, with about 6.5 games sold per console.
Wii comes next, apparently, with around 5.5 games per machine, and PS3 has the lowest attach rate at round 5.2.
The data’s based on each machine’s position after 23 months at market, and there’s a graph there showing first- and third-party split.
Take a look.

i agree with the xbox being top, but i can’t help but feel doubtful of the wii. i have 27 games on
disc for the ps3 and 14 on download on top of that, i only have 4 games for the wii and i’ve had it the same amount of time. after wii sports and mariokart most games for the wii suck, maybe it would be more interesting to see which console has the highest percentage of high review scoring games.

gomersoul, the information you seek can be found at review score aggregation sites like gamerankings.com.

The Wii figures are skewed slightly because they always include Wii Play. I’d be interested to seeing the actual attach rate with that disregarded.

Wow, that chart for the Wii’s last 9 months is incredibly flat. It’s a good thing they make money on the hardware.
