Sony’s released Firmware 2.52. It’s available for download now.
Don’t get too excited. According to this US PS Blog post, the update does the following:
- The playback quality of some PS3 format software has been improved.
- A text entry issue that occurs when using the on-screen keyboard, USB keyboard or Bluetooth keyboard with some PS3 format software has been addressed.

It seemed a fairly quick update (by PS3 standards) – have they come around to the idea that you don’t have to replace the entire firmware each time you fix a small text file or was I just lucky?
