Juice Games to lose 30 staff

GI’s reporting that UK-based Juice games is to lose 30 staff in now-confirmed cuts by THQ.

According to the site, a “high risk” project has been shelved after a year’s work.

We haven’t seen the worst of this yet. Ubi, Take 2, etc: I reckon they’ll all cut.

From what I know about the project, it’s only ‘high risk’ because it’s new IP. Seems unless it’s an FPS, a sequel or a minigame collection, it’s ‘high risk’ these days. Let’s hope I Am Alive doesn’t get shelved, if Pat’s Ubi warning turns out to be rather prescient.
