Nintendo issues giant 2009 release schedule
Kotaku’s published a huge 2009 release schedule from Nintendo, detailing all announced games in all territories for the coming year.
It’s a whopper, so take a look through there. There’s nothing especially concrete in there about stuff that isn’t especially concrete, if you see what we mean, but it’s good shit nonetheless.

Theres some interesting DS stuff listed, but, seriously, what a load of crap on Wii, the only decent stuff, i already owned on Game Cube.

Wow, Europe really gets the shitty end of the stick there.
Actually, now that I look a bit more closely… the other end of the stick smells a bit too.

Seems daft to get wound up when most games won’t have been announced yet.

I’m not sure how well that line up fits in with the “we’ve never neglected core gamers” statements.
By the looks of things, Nintendo’s appreciation of “core” gamers is “people who’ll buy it so long as it’s an established franchise”. Which is nice and all. But, personally, I’d like to see some of the creative effort that’s being directed towards soccermoms and pensioners getting rerouted into some new, challenging, daring IP directed at gamers who don’t need explicit instructions on how to put the blue key in the blue door and awarded with twiddly music and twee characters without any backbone instead.
I’m still not seeing Treasure’s name attached to the new Sin and Punishment game either. Flagged as a first-party release. Hmmm.
