More NXE impressions published

nxe81.jpg

Bored of it yet? Destructoid’s just published a large impressions piece on NXE, including screens and plenty of words.

Better get used to it. Microsoft UK’s holding preview events this week, so expect a ton more.

New Xbox Experience ships on November 19.

… the PR-machinery is overly well oiled concerning this subject … :(

Some may call me a PS3-fanboy, but IMHO the new “NXE” is even more ugly than the old “dashboard”-interface.
Microsoft really has no style … everything they do always has a terrible look! :(

I dunno, I really like it. It’s just coverflow repurposed, really.

Apple’s “coverflow” is a fantastic GUI-metaphor.
But Microsoft doesn’t seem to understand that it’s beauty lies in simplicity.
What MS did is completely overload this GUI and therefore ruined it.

Does it let you copy game saves and data from say, USB devices? Like you can already on PS3?

I’m with everyone on this looking really nice.

Except for the avatars. /shiver

But the interface itself is beautiful.

whether you hate the avatars or not, you won’t have a choice but to make one ;) thats the catch hehe.

i think the avatars will make a nice addition to the new xbox experience. they are way more customizable than the Mii’s, and i dunno…you will probably see a gamers personality reflected into his avatar, which could always be neat.

Im looking forward to all of this, even the avatar :P
