EA expected top post loss for second quarter

EA will post a loss for its second quarter, analysts expect, despite strong revenues from titles suchg as Spore and Warhammer Online.

Analysts, on average, are expecting a loss of 6 cents per share on sales of $1.08 billion, according to a poll by Thomson Reuters.

“With the stock hovering near a six-year low, it is unclear whether management will choose to continue its recent history of disappointment (including its abandoned purchase of Take-Two) by lowering guidance below our expected range,” said Wedbush Morgan’s Michael Pachter.

Final results will be issues tomorrow.
