Home version 1.0 to hit beta in “coming weeks”
SCEE’s confirmed Home v1.0 is currently in internal testing and will be released into the social app’s beta in the next few weeks.
“Sorry, you don’t have too long to wait compared to the length of the project so far, but I know the lack of a date is annoying,” said EU PS Boards mod Ted the Dog in answer to demands from users on a Home release date.
“If it helps, v1.0 is in internal testing and will hit the closed beta in the coming weeks as will more testers by invitation.”
It was reported this morning that beta invites are to be released for Home via way of Qore in the US early next month.
Sony has constantly said that Home will release in “fall” of this year.
Thanks, Johnny Cullen.

After all this talk, hype and long production time, Home needs to be the greatest thing possibily imaginable without the internet giving a major backlash against it.

I don’t think there’ll be a backlash. I think there’s be a “is that it?!” thread, and then nobody will go back to playing games and ever mention it again. Unless it’s immediately followed by the word ‘lol’.
