Update: Gears 2 got 9/10 from OXM UK today, in case you missed it.
According to this post on the EU PS boards, the latest issue of UK’s OPM carried a 9/10 review score for Resistance 2.
According to Metacritic, this is the world’s first rating for the Insomniac shooter.

Good news really. There seems to be a lot of bad will surrounding the beta, and Edge’s impressions last month were pretty grim, so whilst far from an iron clad seal of quality, I think OPM would have slipped it an 8 had they been genuinely underwhelmed.

You make a good point Robo, about them giving it an 8 if they would have been really underwhelmed, seeing as its would still mean its decent, but i just dont trust the official mags of any console.
I like the beta, and i also liked the first one, but i’m sure this game will get slaughtered in online reviews.

I’m pretty unimpressed how much the game sucks in multiplayer.
It apparently really works for some people, but the majority of us, will ahve to wait for KZ2 for a nice multiplayer shooter.
Why do they add so much stuff, only to completely destory the graphics and stuff… Makes no sense to me.
