GTA IV Trophy patch coming October 27

gtaiva3.jpg

According to squillions of reports, the Trophy patch for the PS3 version of GTA IV will release next Monday.

We normally avoid “you can now get Trophies” stuff, but this is GTA, so we have to report it. We love you, GTA.

I wonder if they’ll make the first 12 hours of the game fun?

With zombies, perhaps?

Seems to be a new update to multiplayer mode, just in time for Halloween.

@morriss: I very much doubt it, unless they changed the story and the missions. :)

I’ve been playing SR2 for the past few days and I have to say that Volition’s effort is superior in just about every way to GTA IV. Granted, the production values are not quite as high, but that area where games are meant to excel, entertainment and FUN, is a thematic running through SR2, but rarely makes an appearance in GTA IV.

Come in Rockstar your time is up.

Yeah, Saints Row 2 is waaaaaay more fun than GTA4, it basically allows you to do anything you want and even stuff you would never think of yourself. While GTA4 does everything it can to keep it as serious and realistic as possible, and refuses to fix annoyances like scripted events, no missioncheckpoints, and no garages, Saints Row shows how it’s supposed to be done.
Granted, GTA4 looks nicer and has higher production values, but if you’re playing games to have FUN first and foremost then SR2 shits on GTA4 from a very big height.
