“You could make a brilliant World of Warcraft movie,” says Spider-Man director

According to MTV, Spider-Man director Sam Raimi has said that a World of Warcraft is an excellent choice for yet another film based around videogames.

“There’s World of Warcraft — what an awesome video game!” he said. “It has such great, adventurous characters in it and such fantastic landscapes and rules… You could make a brilliant World of Warcraft movie — as fine as any of the best superhero movies — if you had the right writers and directors.”

You could make anything great if you had that right people working on it, we reckon.

Somebody beat you to it, man.

You should all watch that show, by the way. It’s awesome. Too good for kids.

Raimi does know what he’s talking about as far as satirical medieval/fantasy stuff is concerned, so he’s probably right about this.

Still, I wouldn’t give any movie directing job to the man who was responsible for giving Peter Parker a silly mutation that allows him to shoot organic web-fluids.
