Sony – No games support PS3 2.50 screen capturing yet

While Firmware 2.50 added screen-grabbing functionality to PS3 this morning, don’t get too excited. There’s aren’t any games you can use it with yet.

“There aren’t any games that support the screenshot capability just yet, but we know there’s a lot of excitement among PS3 owners for this feature and would expect developers to begin offering it moving forward,” SCEA told PSU.

“Supporting titles will be announced in the future.”

So there we are. We’ll be watching out for those screen-grabbable games with interest.

So, yet again, Sony gives us something that is only half useful…thanks.

Can these guys ever stop screwing up or stepping on toes?

Goes completely hand in hand with Kaz’s earlier statements.

Sorry.

Anyway, the way they’ve designed this likely means they have first- and second-party things in mind for it, it’ll be interesting seeing what they do with it. And knowing Sony, they likely will find something to do with it.
