Microsoft just conducted a good keynote at Tokyo Game Show, dropping confirmation of the launch date of New Xbox Experience, announcing Tekken 6 for 360 and showing the first proper trailer of Halo 3 Recon, the new Bungie game.

Well, I was kind of hoping they’d announce something more interesting than yet-more-Halo and a sequel to a game that nobody really gave a shit about in the first place.

Tekken’s a big deal to the hardcore. Announcing the NXE date was good, definitely. And the Halo thing turned me on, no question.

R-type, king of fighters, release date for NXE, Halo, 99 Nights 2. That’s pretty big stuff. Especially when Japan isn’t really MSs battleground at all.

The XBLA stuff isn’t really very interesting, although I’m sure it’ll all do well.

The recent DS Arkanoid wasn’t very good, though. Space Invaders Extreme is coming to XBLA which is very good news, though it won’t be as good as the DS one is with the paddle controller.

Just got it there now and there is a couple of direct feed packshots of the game as well as a fact sheet.
But I can’t read it, all mine’s mumble jumbo shit and weird code =S
